Life is never smooth like a dream , gentle as a rose
It is like an ocean and we are the boat
There'll be stormy wind, choppy waves and strong currents
And no matter how inspired and determine we are
We still get push around in the sea

There are times when we may even feel like hiding our heads in the pillow
Sleeping away, living a life far away from reality
Wishing that everything is just part of a "dream"

Fortunately things does'nt happen that way
The world goes on ,even without us

It is a fact of life
A simple logic we just have to accept
And once you've accepted the logic
Get your sail up and face the waves
Move on with life and never look back

If you do not hope, you will not find what is beyond your hopes.
-St. Clement of Alexandra

We're always told that
The higher we climb, the harder we fall
It is true especially in life
Things don't always happen the way we want it to be
But that doesn't stop us from hope
Because only with hope then can we be able to reach out to the impossible

I agree that we should never set unrealistic goals
But in the mean time, do not underestimate your potential
Dare to dream
Reach for the impossible
Because who sets the limits?

It's you...

I got this story from the internet..

The Window" (Author unknown)

Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room. One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour a day to drain the fluids from his lungs. His bed was next to the room's only window. The other man had to spend all his time flat on his back.

The men talked for hours on end. They spoke of their wives and families, their homes, their jobs, their involvement in the military service, where they had been on vacation. And every afternoon when the man in the bed next to the window could sit up, he would pass the time by describing to his roommate all the things he could see outside the window.

The man in the other bed would live for those one-hour periods where his world would be broadened and enlivened by all the activity and color of the outside world. The window overlooked a park with a lovely lake, the man had said. Ducks and swans played on the water while children sailed their model boats. Lovers walked arm in arm amid flowers of every color of the rainbow. Grand old trees graced the landscape, and a fine view of the city skyline could be seen in the distance. As the man by the window described all this in exquisite detail, the man on the other side of the room would close his eyes and imagine the picturesque scene.

One warm afternoon the man by the window described a parade passing by. Although the other man could not hear the band, he could see it in his mind's eye as the gentleman by the window portrayed it with descriptive words. Unexpectedly, an alien thought entered his head: Why should hehave all the pleasure of seeing everything while I never get to see anything? It didn't seem fair. As the thought fermented, the man felt ashamed at first. But as the days passed and he missed seeing more sights, his envy eroded into resentment and soon turned him sour. He began to brood and found himself unable to sleep. He should be by that window - and that thought now controlled his life.

Late one night, as he lay staring at the ceiling, the man by the window began to cough. He was choking on the fluid in his lungs. The other man watched in the dimly lit room as the struggling man by the window groped for the button to call for help. Listening from across the room, he never moved, never pushed his own button which would have brought the nurse running. In less than five minutes, the coughing and choking stopped, along with the sound of breathing. Now, there was only silence--deathly silence.

The following morning, the day nurse arrived to bring water for their baths. When she found the lifeless body of the man by the window, she was saddened and called the hospital attendant to take it away--no words, no fuss. As soon as it seemed appropriate, the man asked if he could be moved next to the window. The nurse was happy to make the switch and after making sure he was comfortable, she left him alone.

Slowly, painfully, he propped himself up on one elbow to take his first look. Finally, he would have the joy of seeing it all himself. He strained to slowly turn to look out the window beside the bed. It faced a blank wall.

Happiness is a matter of choice
And it is the positive attitude that we choose to adopt that brings happiness
Instead of seeing just a blank wall,
he choose to believe in seeing things that make him happy.
To apply it in our life
We always envy people who lives in bungalow, drives luxury car, surrounded by all kinds of materialistic privileges
It makes our eyes red and crave for that kind of lifestyle
Then it comes back to us, blaming on all kinds of excuses
Grumble and uncontent with our current lifestyles
and not appreciating the love, happiness and health we have
It is the wrong focus in life that make us unhappy
One can be happy as long as he is content with what he had

Man against the world - Survivor

Have you ever walked alone at night
Like a man against the world
No one takes your side
A boat against the tide
When your faith is shaken you start to break
And you heart cant find the words
Tossed upon the sand
I give you a man against the world
All the people cheer til the end is near
And the hero takes a fall
Then theyll drag you through the mud
Youre only flesh and blood
I have walked the path from dark to light
And theyve yet to come to terms
Alone I take my stand
Im only a man against the world

And love, like a distant reminder
It tugs at my shoulder
It calls me home
I shout, can a single voice carry
Will I find sanctuary within your arms
Someday when the answers clearer
Someday when I even the score
Youll reach and youll find me near you
Right beside you
Forevermore

But for now Ill walk the night alone
Like a man against the world
A brand new day will shine
Through the avalanche of time
Now the roads grown long, but the spirits strong
And the fire within still burns
Alone I take my stand
I give you a man against the world

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take
but by the moments that take our breath away
-anonymous

The world is changing every single day.
That include us, human beings especially.

We are living in this fast paced world
People are getting wealthier,
And things are getting done easier
Message getting across within a second
We are improving but are we better ?

We spend more yet end up having less eventually,
We buy more yet we enjoy less.
We have bigger houses yet smaller families,
We have better technology yet we work even harder.
We have more convenience yet lesser time.
We have more knowledge yet lesser judgement
We have more experts, yet more problems.
We have more medicine, but less wellness.

You know things just don't make sense
But that's the truth of life.
We have to learn to accept it.
Love it and take it to your advantage.

We only do things to our own benefits.
Contented by being shadows of our own lives.
Living in a life we though that is good for us.
Saying things we thought is appropiate.
Pretending to care for someone we don't
Helping someone hoping for a return
Lying for the intention to cheat

It's happening around us,
Every day, hour , minute and second.
Be it our friends, family and loved ones.
Are you aware of that ?

It is easier to spot mistakes than to see the good things.
We are blinded by the world where negativity is common
And positive comments are considered "unnatural"

For every event that occurred.
There is 2 side to it.
Either good or bad

For example, Today I lost my legs due to a car accident

I can choose to:

1)Blame it on my luck, road condition, the other driver or any possible things that happened before that

OR

2)I choose to feel fortunate because I'm given a second chance to live

It is easy to say but difficult to apply.
I know it's hard to think positive all the time.
I'm one good example of a person who is negative most of the time.
But that does not give us the excuse to stop trying.
In fact it motivate us to try even harder !

Learn to appreciate every little things in life.
Like waking up in the morning,
Taking the breakfast, drinking tea while reading newspaper.
Saying "hello" to someone.
Smile when you think about the happy things in life.
Giving up your seats to others.
Helping the blind man to cross the road.

There is a good nature to everyone.
It is the cruelty of the world that train us to hide our good
And prevent being taken advantage of
In the modern society, we ought to becareful of who we trust.

But that alone can't stop us from being "positive" in life.
Certain moderation need to be applied in this situation.
We can't be too optimistic neither can we be too pessimistic.

Just that very often, people are just over pessimistic about life.
Calm down, have a cup of water.
Look in the mirror and reflect on our lives.
Ask ourselves who are we and what we want.

Why indulge our lives in hatred, revenge , jealousy, back stabbing.
The world is not going to stop and pity us.

Just look straight, think positive and keep moving forward at the pace you are comfortable with.
It is just like running a marathon.

Option 1 or option 2 ?
You choose.. =)

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine as children do.
It's not just in some of us; it is in everyone.
And as we let our own lights shine,
we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
our presence automatically liberates others.

I just want to say thank you.
You saved my life. =)

Make it a habit to look in the mirror every night before we sleep
Ask ourselves and reflect on our lives.
Try to improve on them.
It is hard to be perfect.
But it is important to keep improving.

Don’t Quit!
When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low, and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
when he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don't give up though the pace seems slow,
You may succeed with another blow.

Success is failure turned inside out,
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit,
It's when things seem worst, that
You Must Not Quit.

*Best quote in the whole movie.

Rocky Balboa: I'd hold you up to say to your mother, "this kid's gonna be the best kid in the world. This kid's gonna be somebody better than anybody I ever knew." And you grew up good and wonderful. It was great just watching you, every day was like a privilige. Then the time come for you to be your own man and take on the world, and you did. But somewhere along the line, you changed. You stopped being you. You let people stick a finger in your face and tell you you're no good. And when things got hard, you started looking for something to blame, like a big shadow. Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get it and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done! Now if you know what you're worth then go out and get what you're worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain't you! You're better than that! I'm always gonna love you no matter what. No matter what happens. You're my son and you're my blood. You're the best thing in my life. But until you start believing in yourself, ya ain't gonna have a life. Don't forget to visit your mother.

There are times when the whole world seem to be against us.
Be strong enough to stand up and fight for our dreams.
And when thing goes wrong, blame it on ourselves not on others.
Be brave enough to accept failure.
Learn from our mistakes so that we don't repeat them.
And lastly, never look back.

Entry out.
